Master of Science

Enviromental Science Program

The graduate Environmental Science Program at A&M-Corpus Christi provides relevant education for students planning careers in the environmental sciences. The program, first offered in 1992, now enrolls approximately 60 current graduate students. Additional graduate students are pursuing degrees in related areas such as the Master of Public Administration (Environmental Science Track). The M.S. in Environmental Science program especially benefits persons in professional employment who seek additional education to enhance their knowledge and skills. Opportunities exist on campus and in the professional community for students to gain practical experience through internships and cooperative work-study agreements with local government and state and federal natural resource agencies.

Students in the M.S. in Environmental Science program choose between thesis and non-thesis tracks. All students take a common core of interdisciplinary courses, then choose additional electives and conduct thesis or professional research projects which will define an emphasis area.
